Deposit policy

Money up front to hold a slot, and what happens when it does not arrive.

A deposit policy requires a client to pay part of the price before their booking is confirmed, so an appointment that never happens costs them something rather than costing only the salon. It matters most where appointments are long: a two-and-a-half-hour lash set or a colour correction is not a gap you fill with a walk-in. In Salyntra you set a percentage, and a booking whose deposit never arrives releases its slot automatically instead of holding it for someone who was never coming.

How is the deposit actually paid?

However you like. Salyntra is expanding card payment integrations to enable salons in different regions to collect card payments online. But you can also surface a bank account or other direct payment methods (PayPal, MoMo, Crypto, etc.) that bypass the card processor and its charges.

What happens if a deposit never arrives?

Card payments remove any doubts. The deposit is only marked as paid when the card processor confirms it. For direct transfers, however, confirmation is manual. You confirm a claim in your bank before confirming it in Salyntra. If the claim is never sent, the booked slot is released after a window you set, freeing it up for use by other clients.

Common questions

Can I require the full amount instead of a deposit?

Yes. You can set how much of a deposit you want - 10%, 20%,..., or 100%. It's your salon; you call the shots.

Does a deposit policy apply to walk-ins?

No. It governs bookings made through your public booking page. A walk-in client who never books online is served and pays as usual.
